While, as far as I know, my family is not Jewish; the International Conference on Jewish Genealogy is being held here in Los Angeles on July 11-16th. More info here. This looks to be a huge conference with lots of information. I’m particularly interested in their sections on Eastern Europe and Galicia in particular.
The town of Sniatyn prior to WWI was part of Galicia, Austria-Hungary. There’s a great website for Galicia for people with Jewish and non-Jewish roots in that area.
