While researching my step-mothers line I have discovered that her Grandmother was Anna Filipczuk. My research indicates that she was the sister of Gregori Filipczuk, the husband of Dorata Ostafyczuk. It was your site that actually resolved this mystery for me. Anna Filipczuk married Piotr Kiernicki in Sniaytn and Piotr first migrated in 1910 along with Dorata to meet up Gregori in Bangor Maine. Anna followed with her children in 1913. I have the migration records (ship records) if you don’t already. Just drop a line and I will email them to you.
Dou you have any other info about Dorata, Gregori or Anna?
Thanks,
Jeff Tischer

Hi Jeff!
Great information! I’ve been trying to track down information about Dorata because i had the suspicion that she might have been the aunt that my father visited but he couldn’t remember names. Any Information you could send me would be great.
